Pool Hopping

Perhaps you are right, but I'm not sure they have ever put that in writing. However, for the pool hopping perk, the definition of guest IS in writing and it says that the guest must be "staying with you", so in terms of the specific topic of this thread, pool hopping is a member's only perk that is for members and the guests staying with them at a DVC resort.
There are a few perks that require the actual member to be present. They also include the Golf discount and members cash discount. Some of the rest are spelled out as being available to guests but not renters. It would be far easier, and likely more fair, to draw the line having only the members themselves get the benefits.

Boy, do I agree that it is confusing (and inconsistent I might add). I agree that members only might be the easiest and fairest way to split the hairs, but I doubt that will happen with most perks (nor does it probably matter with most of the perks--the dining and general recreation discounts, for example, still have the intended goal of drumming up demand for those items regardless of who uses the discount. I consider them less of a perk and more of a marketing device for a subset of activities, whereas things like the annual pass discount, free valet parking, and pool hopping probably fall in a different category in my opinion).

LOL, I was having flashbacks to a couple of threads where some people felt a sense of loss when someone else got the perk that shouldn't have. For the ones that cost DVC nothing, like dining discounts, I just can't imagine that attitude. I find it elitist and unrealistic. For those that cost DVC money, I would take the other side generally.
