pool hopping recommendations?

Just Pool Hopped last Wed to the GF Beach Pool, we love it there, Cool slide, zero entry pool which makes it easy for us to just lay in the water of about 1ft.. They also added a new water play area for the kids, and you can now get food rt there as they added a full kitchen and redesigned the bar area..Love that place

Here's the thing...and I don't want to sound nasty or rude, but....if you have to be at the bottom of the slide to catch your child, your child is probably not strong enough of a swimmer to use the slide. And I have to tell you...the slide at Luna Park is fast!!!!

Fair enough. It's actually my little guy's 2nd summer of daily swim lessons. He feels more comfortable in a life vest but says he swims away himself when he goes down the camp slide. So long as it's not into 8-12' of water, I'd be OK with standing somewhere nearby and letting him come to me. If it's a slide where you can end up anywhere, I wouldn't let him on it because I'd be too worried!!

We're going to hop to GF that week because if GFV follows the Dvc trend, when it opens, hopping will end there.
Disclaimer..... I am not starting a rumor, I said this about BCV years ago in a post here and got bashed for being a rumormonger. Turned out my speculation was right.

You're probably right, I think I should make it a point to hop to there! I'm sure we'll end up staying there eventually but it'll probably be hard to book at 7 months out for a while. Although the points are so much higher, maybe it won't be that hard!

I don't know this was such a thing to do!! I can barely find time to get in my own resort pool, let alone hop all over the place. Sounds fun though! Being that we are dvc newbies, maybe we will spend one day doing this. One of these years.....

Yes, pool hopping is allowed and it doesn't even need to be only DVC resorts - you can hop to any Disney resort in any class (with a few exceptions, Beach Club, Bay Lake, and Animal Kingdom Villas). I was considering hopping to Caribbean Beach Resort which is a moderate.

This is our 5th trip and we're going for a full week between camp and school so I'm alternating park days with pool/relaxation days. Our first couple trips we didn't have time for pool hopping either!

I want to strongly recommend the pool at Coronado Springs. There is a long water slide with a jaguar that spits water :confused3, and the largest hot tub. on property. It's beautiful, and if you're into margaritas, they're nearby as well. The pool is large, with lots of room for swimming and games.

Overall, the Dig Site is great!

Another perk about hopping to Poly. If you stay until sundown you can watch the electric water parade and the MK fireworks from the beach.:cool1:

We pool hopped to Riverside's pool when the DGC were young. It has a neat theme, and it was the first slide our kids went on.

On our last visit, just 2 weeks ago, we went back to Riverside, not to pool hop but to fish in the fishing hole. The pool still looked inviting, but we didn't have our suits!
