I have questions about pool hopping.

For those who have pool hopped to the Poly (or GF,) if we (DH & I) are owners, but my DMIL & DFIL are staying w/ us, can they pool hop with us? (not by themselves.)

Also, at the Poly, can you get in the water on the beach? I see lots of pics of the beach/sand, but no pics of anyone actually wading or swimming.

Also, at the different resorts where DVCers can PH, where/how do you change/ go to the bathroom/shower, etc?

Anyone in your party can pool hope with you if it is allowed at the resort as long as you have your membership ID. Swimming is not allowed in the MK lagoon. You can sit at the beach but no swimming.

Thanks for the response!

After reading your post, I went to wikipedia and found this:

"White Sand Beaches of the Seven Seas Lagoon - There is a large expanse of beach fronting the Seven Seas Lagoon, with lounge chairs, hammocks, and cabanas placed throughout the area. For a short period following the resort's opening, swimming was permitted in the Seven Seas Lagoon, with wave machines and other features built to increase the authenticity of the location. Due to land erosion concerns, the wave machines were not used beyond their initial testing period.[3] With other operational considerations in mind, swimming/wading is not currently permitted in the Seven Seas lagoon."

That sounded awesome... too bad about the land erosion though.

And Lions, Tigers, and Bears, oh my! ;)

The Lagoon is a no-go, got it.

What about changing areas and showers at the different pools that we can hop to?

the only time we hopped was to PORS, and we were able to use the facilities right by the pool. They were very clean, and the DGC loved the pool!

Years ago, there was swimming in the Bay Lake and my DSis paid for our sons to try water skiing. The kids were scared silly that there would be alligators watching out for them.

We pool hopped to the Poly after our Kona meal last june. There are bathrooms by the waterfall with nice changing rooms. We showed the lifeguard our passes and had a fun hour or so. We sat on the beach and caught the water parade too!

I remember swimming as a kid in the lagoon. I also remember Goofy water skiing by the campground (all resorts) waving to all the kids, it was pretty cool.
