Just curious....which resorts don't check for a key when you go to the pool. For example, they always check at SAB when we stay at BCV. When I think about Poly, I never was checked. I think maybe they checked some at Contemporary -- maybe a couple times out of multiple visits.

Every resort has the right to check for identification to ensure you are staying at the resort or that you are a DVC member and allowed pool hopping to that resorts.

Some resorts are specifically restricted from pool hopping including BLT, AKV/AKL and SAB at BCV.

So, although I see why you'd ask the question your going to get a real mixed bag of answers, some people may never be checked, others may have been checked everytime. Or no one will report they've had their ID checked and yet the next person who goes all of sudden will.

All pools at Yacht Club, Beach Club & BCV are restricted from DVC member pool-hopping

in addition to SAB.

And as poster jlewis said the pools at AKL/AKV & BLT pool as well.

I'd think these restricted pools would be where you are most likely to be asked to show

resort id and/or DVC member card although we were staying at BWV

couple years back during spring break and one afternoon resort id's

were being checked by lifeguards at main pool.

:goodvibes

The gate to the BLT pool is broken and anyone can get in - I didn't see anyone asking to show keys.

Whether a gate at a particular pool may (or may not be) broken is irrelevant here. DVC Pool Hopping guidelines are clear. Hence, there is no need for a thread on this topic as the DIS does not allow promotion of how to "get around" Disney rules.
