Pool Hoppers only - GF versus Poly

We will be at MK ALL day at the beginning of June for a late EMH.

We would like to take a break and pool hop in the afternoon to cool
off. We have tried the GF quiet pool, but are thinking of trying the
GF or Poly theme pool.

Which do you like and why?

(We are pool hoppers from way back, this is not to be a
discussion of the pros/cons of pool hopping)

I would always go with one of the quiet pools. Unless you have kids with you. Then you almost have to go to a themed pool. But without kids, I want to be in a more subdued pool area. In fact, I would go to the Contemporary...closer, you can walk and the pool is so 'non-descript' that it most likely will not be very crowded.

We pool hopped to the Poly last trip. We had a BLAST. My girls were begging to stay there next time. Course, how many points does it take thru DVC?!?

I really liked the Poly Pool.... so did the kids....

we love the poly pool, matter of fact we stayed at the poly during easter and everytime we got on the monorail to go to the GF, we kept saying we should have brought the swim stuff to try there pool, the GF quite pool is just your basic pool, the GF theme pool is small and looks like a hugh waterfall w/ a slide, very tempting, but you had to have wristbands, that may have only been because of easter.

We usually do both, but if I had to recommend one (with kids) I would say Poly. GF is a little more upscale (do we belong here?) feel and the Volcano slide is a little more fun IMO. Actually dont mind taking the boat to VWL also-food court and very relaxing area-plus a boat ride is fun anyway. Also if you do get a quick rain storm-going in the main Lodge is a great time killer. Climb up on a couch and read etc. Its all good.

DS13 & I are planning on pool hopping to the GF, Poly (after Kona brkfst), Contemp (after Chef Mickey brkfst), Boardwalk (after Spoodles brkfst)

Poly because they have "Lava Flows" at the pool bar. It is mix between a strawberry daquiri and apina colada.MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
