Can we pull hop to Vero? We would like to check it out and usually plan a beach day at Daytona so I thought maybe we would take a peak at Vero. I had asked before while staying at BWV and was told that would be fine. But I just wanted to check here to see if anyone had done so and how to handle it. Thanks

It wouldn't be a pool hop. But, you could call the Vero resort and ask if it would be okay for you to come look at the resort and use the pool. It would probably depend on when you are asking to come down. I don't think they'd be too happy to see you this week (Easter Week). You will need to be given a key to allow you access to the pool area. It is gated. The lifeguards are also trained to keep an eye out for folks sneaking in since people can come up from the beach.

Of course, you can always go down and look at the resort, eat at the restaurant, etc. It's just use of the pool that would require the resort to grant you access.

You have to like to drive. It is about hour more to drive there than to Daytona. Unless you are able to maintain more than speed limit. We have driven it several times from WDW, and each time amazed at how long it takes - longer than we plan each time. Think we'd learn!

Still - worth checking out. Love the place.

We visited Vero for the day on one of our trips to WDW and they were going to give us a pass to use the pool.

Funny, it always takes us less time then we think it will. :goodvibes

It is a little less then 2 hours for us.

I would talk to the front desk and see before you leave. You can use the beach and visist the resort. The local access is close by. It is a great resort. Better yet, book a few nights there. VB really is a hidden gem of DVC. We will be there in 3 weeks, looking forward to it. :sunny:

Thanks everyone! I would love to stay at Vero and am hoping that the ability to spend the day there will convince my DH to do so. Yesterday we took a family vote, after leaving RPH should we stay at OKW (where our ressies are) or try to go to Vero. The vote is 2-2. DH said he doesn't like to relax and could handle it for a day or 2 but has no desire to stay at a beach for 6 nights! I was thinking maybe we could stay 3 at Universal, 4 at OKW and the last 2 at Vero. But I really don't want to move around that much!

Happy Easter!
