Pool heating?

Well I emailed and asked had she made a mistake with the price and they replied that the price was correct and the price of gas in Florida is very expensive ??

Even on gas, a standard pool would cost no more than $100 a week, so about £80 worst way. And that's assuming it's not covered up each night. If it's covered up, it will retain heat and cost a lot less. And that's based on a relatively high 84 degree temperature, and the figures are from EPL, one of florida's energy providers!

Definitely worth checking about the previous tenants too as recommended above :)

I'm shocked pool heating is so expensive :scared1:

Just out of interest, does anyone know when the on site hotels heat the pools?

We did not pay for pool heat when we went end oct/beginning nov it was COLD - i did get in once and whilst fine after the initial shock it was the only time i went in.... the kids on the other hand did not give two hoots and were in there every night!

a few years back we were in las vegas in July when it's as hot as a human being can live in and survive - 110 in the shade...
we were at a very fancy hotel that didn't heat the pool and let me tell you, despite the intense heat and sunlight that pool was ice cold....
well, ice cold to me....we all got into it as we were frying, but it was so cold we just couldn't get used to it and had to get out...and didn't get in a second time the whole time we were there...

as i said, anything less than bath water doesn't do it for me..
