What type of floats can be used in the DVC (or any WDW resort) pools?

Do they rent the large (adult size) rafts like the Swan & Dolphin?
If so, how much are rentals?

Are you permitted to bring your own floats/rafts??

Thanks!

I'm giving this a bump 'cause I want to know, too! I had heard that only clear ones can be used at BCV... can they be tinted at all, or only pure clear (no color)? What about noodles -- ok? No? And what about at pools besides BCV (like, say, BWV). Same deal there -- clear floats only? Any floats at all? What about those "baby boats" for infants -- would they have to be clear too??

THANKS!!

Mostly Noodles to float on.... We're not sure about bringing your own.

i too also heard that you can only have the clear tubes. someone said that you can get them and noodles at the wal-mart in that area.

You can rent single and double tubes at SAB< but you better get there pretty early in the morning. I think they cost about $3 an hour for the singles, but they don't charge you more if you don't return them, so they disappear very shortly after pool opening and aren't likely to be returned. They only have about 10 tubes or so for the whole pool, and there's no limit on how many each person can rent, so good luck.

They also rent noodles, but those go fast, as well.

You can buy smaller tubes, which aren't large enough to float on. I don't know if there's a rule against bringing your own, I don't remember seeing anything in the pool that wasn't bought there.

I don't remember seeing any kind of floats at other Disney pools- they may be against the rules, not sure. Even at SAB, I've never seen any lounge-type floats. The pools are not large enough to make such things feasible.

We were there in March and brought a cheapie innertube we bought at Target (maybe a dollar or two). At Luna Park we were told we couldn't use it, although 2 years ago we were able to. When we moved over to BCV, I asked before huffing and puffing to blow it up, and the lifeguards okayed it. Ours was lilac colored on the top that was see through and purple on the bottom that was not see through. We used it on 3 different days.

Years ago they did not allow any flotation devices at all in the pools at WDW. They did not allow any device to help one swim except those approved by WDW. The reason for the floats is obvious they can block the sight of the life guard. Many swimming devices are not safe, the popular inner tube is the worse thing to put on a child because it can trap them in a situation where they can not upright themselves. At any rate with exception of SAB where they rent see through tubes, my guess is they will not allow any floats at all.
