Pool at Pop Century?

From looking at pics, the Bowling Pin Pool at POP looks fairly long...anyone out there that can give me an estimate? Hopefully 20-25 yds? (I want to get a short swim workout in when I'm there this weekend.)

you might edit post and say "pool size" maybe somebody
will answer. I thought you wanted to know if there was a pool
at POP from the subject line.

The pool is long but it is shallow. The deepest part is in the center and that is only about 5 feet. It is certainly long enough for a swim, but it is so shallow that your feet will be hitting the bottom. All the pools in pop are like this. The middle is deeper (5 feet) and then it kind of slopes to 3 or 4 feet for the rest of the pool.

I try not to drag my feet, so it ought to be ok. From pics, I think it's got to be a good 15-20 meters long...but just don't want to end up doing 2 strokes down, turn, 2 strokes back (not a good workout).

i would guess that the pool is at least 25 yards long... it's LONG!

for a better guestimation, maybe post on the pop faq thread, as tyler a disney cm, on the opening team of pop century, posts there and might know exact length!

Haven't seen you around in a while.

DH did exactly what you are planning on doing at PC a few weeks ago. He got up early in the morning and did a workout swim.

I can ask him how long he thought the pool was tonight.

He said it was nice early in the a.m. before anyone got out there.

I was just going to book our room today for the 1/2 Ironman in May.

Have a good workout. DH will be busy training this weekend and then we take off for Ironman Florida on Tuesday. Will you be there?

Not that it has anything to do with this thread, but when we were in Hawaii a week ago they were having the Ironman Triathalon. Very cool!!
