Pool at Grand Californian--HERE I COME!

We are just starting to thaw in Seattle. Epic snow and ice and downright freezing for the past week. I am always excited to be headed to Disney but this trip has me

We arrive early Thursday morning and weather reports forcast 80 degrees! For the first time ever, I plan to tan my hide by the pool at GC. I've walked by it many times, but never actually hung out there. I am beyond excited for this. I think Friday is supposed to be nice too. I'm taking it really easy Friday because I'm doing the 5K Friday night. Perfect. For some reason I didn't expect summer weather in January.

Crowd predictor also showing super low on Thursday (1.6, I think) and getting a bit higher over the weekend but nothing nuts. Everything lining up to be a great Disneyland vacation. Bunch of new stuff to check out too--especially the bakery!

I think it'll be nice to actually pause, relax and actually spend time in that part of the resort. We never do, we just walk by, look in and keep steppin.

I'm so excited for some sunshine. If it's nice on Friday too, we'll be doing the same. We are still not completely thawed out from the snow and ice storm we had last week. I've still got snow on the ground. Really nuts!

We love the pool at GCH! We always got to Disneyland this time of year (we are from Washington state too). One time we were walking down to the pool in our swimsuits and some people walking the other direction saw us and said "They must be from out of state" It wasn't very warm out but the hot tub was nice and toasty. Try out the pool chairs, they are the best thing ever!

I agree. The chaisse lounge chairs are wonderful. Perfect for napping.
