Poohbear123 wasn't the only Pooh who met up with Dan!!

Our family was so very lucky to meet Dan in MK on Friday night. He did E-night with us and it was so much fun. Within 15 minutes my youngest dd had "Mr. Dan" by the hand and whether he was ready or not he was headed to Space Mountain. After we all recovered we went to BuzzLightYear where youngest dd again insisted that she ride with "Mr. Dan." We then went ride by ride through the park and I never dreamed we'd make it (I bet Dan didn't either ) until closing, but we did!!!! We ended with Splash Mountain before heading out of the park.


I knew from the minute I heard his voice on my cell phone he would live up to everything I've read and "seen" here. My dh is skeptical of these internet boards, but within 5 minutes Dan had him talking like they'd known each other all their lives.


Dan will make a great grandpa someday! My dd's were both smitten and kept asking us on Saturday if we could meet up with "Mr. Dan" again. I explained that he was meeting other friends and they were "stuck" once again with boring old mom and dad.

Thanks for putting up with us Dan and I hope you had a great weekend at the world.

It seems as if children are really drawn to Mr. Dan. Reminds me of Captain Kangaroo!
It also seems to me that if you include DISers children, Dan has about 100 grandkids already!!

We met "Mr. Dan" (I LOVE that!!) at the last Chicago DIS meet. Our older DS can be kind of shy with people, but he talked to Dan right away. Glad you had fun at your miniDIS meet!

It is nice thinking of all the great 'DIS kids' I have met over the years. Tonight I again saw Towncrier's 2 kids, Sarah and James (and James still says us old DIS'ers are still Disney dorks, LOL, including his dad) I first met them about 2 or 3 years ago whe nthey came to Chicago for a meet.

It is great do the parks with kids, and am happy to have had the opportunity to have done the parks, a few hours, all day, MVMCP, meals, everything. It is very neat, I do enjoy it.

And Laurie, it was so nice meeting you and your hubby (glad he was comfortable, I was ) and also Emily and Samantha.

Mr Dan? That is too funny.

My kids ask if we are going to meet with Dan on our trips after we met with him a few years ago! I hope that someday we will be able to meet up together again. Are you going over Thanksgiving???? I can picture everything you described in my mind! My 3 kids refer to "Mr. Dan" as "Uncle Dan" . They are all discussing who gets to go on what ride with him!!! (gee, they haven't once discussed what rides me and their dad get to go on!) I have made one thing perfectly clear to me..........I want a turn to ride with Dan too!! :jumping4:

I do believe that I saw someplace here on the boards that Dan is going to MVMCP on 11/30. I'll be there too. Anyone else? Maybe we can have a mini meet Dan meet.

We also had the oportunity to meet Dan. I think it was like three years ago now!! He is such a great man!!
