:confused3 Just a question, I am a POOH Sized person (also 6 feet tall) and will be visiting the water parks (TL) for the first time in 2 days :goodvibes -- Just wondering what I should watch for, or not try (I wouldn't want to do a homer simpson and get stuck on a slide-- and be humiliated  )

I have read that the tubes come in singles and doubles -- Would a pooh sized person be better off in a double?? :crazy2: Just wondering, wouldn't want to be on the news as the big girl stuck on a water slide :rotfl:

Thanks. Any INPUT would be appreciated.

If you haven't already, you'll want to check out the info on All Ears Net - you'll find it very useful and there is a section on the waterparks, too:

WDW At Large

The waterpark info is a link in the left hand column.

Have fun!

I'm also a large mammal (about 6'3" and 300lbs) and I have had no problems on any of the attractions at either of the water parks. The only warning that I will give is on the family raft rides I felt as if is was a bit too heavy and was slowing the tube some but I did it all without issue.

The only thing that I have not had an opportunity to do yet is the new Crush-N-Gusher over at TL as that was not open yet when we were there last time. My only worry about Crush-N-Gusher is that water pushes you up hill on a raft. I don't know how I would make out on that. Maybe some other large mammals could help with this one.

Have a great time!!!
Sunking

Crush n Gusher isn't a problem for pooh sized people. Just keep your butt up if you don't want "road rash"

The only suggestion I can give the OP is not to wear a thong bikini!! Other than that you should have a great time!!!!

Thanks for the great first hand info -- I knew I could count on you all. :cheer2:

CarolMN-- Thanks for the link I have it printed from last year and have been reading it for updates the last few weeks

And as far as a thong-- I think my shoes are the only ones I own!!! :rotfl:

TL-- Here I Come

48 hours and counting!!!

I just wanted to add that we did not have problems ANYWHERE Last week. I did not feel out of place or uncomfortable anywhere. Thanks for everyones input.

Hey Sunking, we're Phillies fans too, in fact we were at the game last night when they split the double header with the Nats.

On the original topic - I'm a pooh-sized person, 5'6, 264 pounds and I've done everything at all the water parks with no problem.

:sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

What about 2 "Pooh Sized" people in the family raft? My DH and I are both "pooh" sized think we'll be okay? Thanks for the help.

To the OP glad you had a great time w/ no "problems"

Thanks-- :Pinkbounc

Just bumping because I never tried the family raft.

Shouldn't be a problem. We did family raft ride, crush n gusher and I even did Humonga Kowabunga (this was where I was worried I'd do the "Homer") No problems, just a really great family fun time!

At the time of our last trip, I was 300 and hubby was 200 and both of us and our girls road it and had a blast. We have since then take off all our weight,so next years' trip will be even better! :sunny: We LOVE the fact that DW accomodates ALL types of people and the CM's NEVER made us feel out of place, not once! Just one more reason why we go back! : :wizard:

Gosh... I am so glad to hear the wonderful responses.
I am only 20 pounds over weight, but at times I feel like Pooh.

Let everyone have fun at WDW - no matter what your size is :)

I second the motion on WDW being kind to "Pooh sized" people. Our Cedar Point, Theme Park is not so friendly. Now granted they are always buiding mega coasters, but about 3 years ago they changed all the seat belts to accomodate 40inches or lower. Their website said any women over a size 16 would have difficulty fitting in the seat. I fit in with about two inches to spare. but my very embarrassed friend had to get out of the seat after the belt wouldn't close.

WOW sorry to hear that. Once at WDW I had an experience that two of us couldn't fit in Kali River Rapids at the same time -- but all we had to do was wait for the next raft so we each could have our own seat.
