When Disney does something "right", why can't it be universally agreed upon that it's a positive step in the right direction.

Because something right does not necessarily mean there has been any change in direction.

Even the lamest of companies do some things right. In Disney's case, they have underperformed for some time, but they are still a viable, profitable entity. But if that's all we care about, there isn't much point in discussing them. After all, there are thousands of other viable, profitable companies out there.

Even at its worst times, Disney has done some things right. We have to step back and look at the big picture to understand what direction they truly are heading.

Matt, what direction do you think Disney is going right now..even the last year or two ? Are they improving,getting worse or simply stagnet ?

PS: What's your gut telling ya about getting Sapp ?

Overall, stagnant is probably the best description, though I wouldn't argue with continued slippage. Some areas show improvement while others slip, then they change places. (Except with ABC, which seems to be stuck in the toilet)

The improving economy will help improve overall financial results (or at least it should), but that's just like floating up and down with the waves.


Sapp is better than what we had, and certainly brings some positives to the table, but we probably overpaid. If Ted Washington can stay healthy, he's probably a better overall acquisition.

The Raiders new D-Coord. is Buddy Ryan's kid, and he's supposedly going to changing a lot of things up... Sapp will supposedly be playing end a lot in a 3-4, they'll use the 46, etc.

We'll just have to see how it works out.
