We will be heading to WDW in September, for the first time in e LONG time. I know it rains, a lot, being a native South Floridian. We figured we'd get some good quality ponchos before our trip. But after a Google search there are SO many options I don't know where to start!:confused3

Can anyone recommend a good quality, reusable poncho that won't break the bank? TIA!:thumbsup2

on the disney store site today they are on sale for $5 if you buy more than 1 and shipping is free with promo code FREESHIP. Also can get them at dollar stores (cheaper quality but smaller to fit in purse and fine for one time use). Walmart had adult size for $4.48 in purse section by umbrellas. also in camping section.

Think carefully about if you want good ones. The cheap ones can be thrown away when you're done, and then you don't need to worry about trying to refold them into an impossibly tiny pouch and then taking them out again in our room to let them dry.

The ones they sell in WDW are expensive but they have a lifetime guarantee. If they rip or the snap breaks at any time, just trade it in for a new one at any store in WDW. We've been using our old ones for years. I think we finally traded all the yellow ones in for the newer clear ones. It seems the newer ones are not as good quality as the older ones. We have some clear that feel thick, and some clear than feel much thinner.

We just came home last night and we did have 1 day of rain. Since I packed our old ones I didn't get to buy/feel the newest ones. If the quality gets any worse, I would surely switch to dollar store ponchos. I think it's only worth paying for Disney ones if you'll keep going back or reuse them.

The Disney store website does still sell them for $5 if you buy 2 or more but does anyone know if they carry those in their actual store? We are going to be flying out of Seattle and I was thinking of hitting the Disney Outlet before we leave and so I want to know what the odds are of finding the same stuff in the store as online.

.

We have used the Disney ponchos for the last 15 years! We have two sets so one can dry in between uses (we forgot to pack them for the parks one day and it rained, so ended up buying a new set).

We bought some 99 cent ponchos at Walmart for our Alaska cruise in 2002. Still using them today.

Thanks for this tip. I just bought ponchos for our fall trip for my nephews Easter presents.
