Ponchos for Toddler?

Do they make Ponchos for Toddlers? I picked up some for me, DH, and my mom at Target (gotta love disposable ponchos for 89 cents!) but I couldn't find child sized ones. They had some more durable ponchos that were "youth" sized but they started at like 40+ inches. DD is only 2 and 36 inches tall. Do they make ponchos that small?

The first year we took DS to WDW he was 2 almost three (went in June, three in Aug). DH and I had ponchos. Bought DS one at WDW. Of course, it was waaaaaay too long. We tied the ends of the poncho in a huge knot. It was so cute to see DS walking in the rain with this Mickey poncho with a big knot in the front and one in the back. Brings back the sweetest memories just writing about it. If you do this, make sure you take pictures!!

Hmm..excellent quesiton - I just looked on ebay and in Yahoo shopping and NOTHING! So it is my best guess that they do not make rain poncho's for toddlers. What a bummer! I could use a toddler sized one for my DS!

I hope someone here knows where we can find one!

We just bought the child-sized poncho and cut it down to size.

I saw some toddler ponchos size 2-3 and (4-6 I think) at our Wal-mart a few weeks ago. They were in the baby section on one of the side racks at the end of the aisle. I am not sure if they still have them or not, but you might check yours.

I saw the Walmart ones too, though they werent ponchos but more like jackets. Either way, they looked hot! In the past Ive gotten a regular one and cut it to fit. I like the tie idea though.

my kids were 38- 39 inches tall when we bought the WDW ponchos for them and they were a decent fit (long, but not so long that they were tripping). i like others' ideas of tying it up (ponytail holders, which we always have laying around, would work well i would think).

we tried the disposable ones on our first trip and they were SUCH a pain with the little ones..very lightweight so they were blowing around, getting stuck on skin, stretching and tearing when picking kids up/moving the backpack around, etc....just wanted to let you know that i thought the initial investment for the WDW ponchos was well worth it.

My DD is 6 now, but when she was 2, I had a hot pink Fisher Price rain poncho with the Little People characters on the front of it. I can't for the life of me remember where I had gotten it! We used it for many years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't know why they would stop making these, but at least now you have a brand to search for. Good Luck!!!!!

I have one of those and got mine at a Totes outlet. It says its a 2-4T but I don't know if it will be big enough for my 3 1/2 year old this year. She's 39" and it covers her bottom but I think her shorts would get wet.

I'll bring it and if it doesn't work we'll get a Disney one and cut it down if we have to.

Go to Target - in the "camping" section they have very cute character toddler ponchos - I chose a "Blue's Clue's" one for my 2 yr old.

We just went to Target tonight and I bought the Coleman 89 cent ponchos for DH and I. In a separate aisle where there were Coleman camping items for kids I found an orange Coleman poncho that says it's 29 in. It was 99 cents.

We have funny issues with ponchos! IF we bring them it wont rain, not a drop (or maybe sprinkle whilst we are on a ride). We do have to BRING them to each park for our lucky-charms to work,though.

I found Toddler/Child Size Ponchos at Big Lots for under $1 in case anybody on here has that store around them.

Thanks all. I actually found the 29 inch Coleman ones at a different Target. They also had the Blue's Clue and SpongeBob ones for 4.99 I believe. I got one cheap one and will probably fork up the cash for a way-too-big WDW one if it rains when we are there!!!!

I just found a cute Princess poncho (red with Snow White on the back) for DGrD(3) in Dollar General today. It was $5, but was the heavy vinyl, measures 28" (shoulder to bottom) and has snap under the hood. Very cute for our Christmas trip!

I also saw the cute rain gear in the baby section at Walyworld and they seemed durable as apposed to the dollar store type rain ponchos that pose a HUGE suffocation risk just like a dry cleaning bag would so DONT drape one of those on the stroller!!!
