Somehow, we've never tried these on our previous visits. Are they only at Cafe Orleans? (I hate to make a reservation, I try not to overload our schedule).

Love, love, love. We didn't have reservations...just went by at 11:30 and waited about 10 minutes to be seated. It was in late June, and it was a medium busy day. Don't know how that would work out on a super crowded day. Good luck and bon appetit!

Totally worth it.....we don't always have resevations at CO, sometimes we are able to eat there other times we have to leave. But these fries are so good and so worth it. :)

I agree, they are most tasty indeed. I especially like the remoulade, that they are served with. Delicious, and of a generous serving as well. I personally did need extra remoulade, which the waitperson served most cheerfully, matter of fact, she was a particularly nice server. I wish that I could remember her name. I am going to start writing them down.
I did not have a p.s., but only had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated, it was after the lunch rush, and before dinner rush.

I love, love, love these!!

We've eaten here often and never make a reservation.

Enjoy!

That is our one place we must eat every trip. Since we go during crowded times, I always make reservations about a week ahead just to know we have a time. Last trip I discovered how yummy their gumbo is! A new must have for me now!

We had them at Cafe' Orleans for the first time last Tuesday. Definitely a treat not to be missed! Even my DD(8), who is the fussiest kid in the world, absolutely loved them. Pomme Frites are now on our "must have" list.:cool1:

LOL- You've all convinced me!

One question- do we have to get an entree and everything to eat there? Really, I'm not a big entree person, I just like a good soup and yummy appetizer....

Nope, you can just get apps if you like. I do enjoy their desserts too though :)

Agreed. For I too had ordered just this dish, and something to drink. For that is all that I had desired to have at the time. I did give a good tip though, to make up for it.

CO is one of my favorite places in DL. This is where I discovered, "not all caesar salads are created equal" lol their blackened caesar salad is soooooooo tasty!!!!! And of course that leaves you room for dessert too. :)

It's the same Gumbo that they serve at BB, it's the BEST!!!! Pomme Frites & Gumbo, my 2 must haves at CO!

I usually get the bowl of Gumbo and the small salad, the family shares the Pomme Frites. :) DBF gets the MC and I eat a quarter of that, he also has some of the Gumbo. We've seen people go in, get the Pomme Frites, drinks and beignets for dessert and it's not a problem at all. :)

Its not on the menu any more. ;(

You're kidding me?? Well that's a real bummer. Guess I'll have to try something new. I'm not a Gumbo kind of girl and I know that's another favorite there.
It was replaced with:

"Crescent City" Salad - Choose Blackened Chicken or Pan-seared Atlantic Salmon on top of fresh Spinach and Mixed Baby Greens, tossed with Carmelized Pecans, Red Grapes, Navel Orange Segments, Caramelized Onions, Chopped Green Onions, Roasted Sweet Corn, and Orange-Cilantro Vinaigrette.
-- With Blackened Chicken $14.99

I was going to recommend to the OP my favorite dessert - the banana bread pudding - but upon looking it up I see that they no longer offer that either!! :sad1:
