We want to get off the monorail at the Poly and walk to our tea at GF - where should we spend a half hour walking in the Poly? I figured that any of you who have eaten at the Poly (or stayed there) might know how to get a feel for the place while walking through. We really want to mostly see the outdoor ambiance - I don't think we'd be exploring indoors unless there was something spectacular to see.

Ideas?

Well you might want to check out the indoors of the Poly, since there's a HUGE garden (2 floors tall) in the main lobby. It's pretty impressive, not to mention gorgeous. Other than that I would say you could walk along the beach and stuff, or on any of the walking paths at the resort.

You can't go wrong with any of the paths that lead around the Polynesian as they are all beautiful. The waterfall and foliage inside the lobby is quite beautiful as well and are definitely worth verturing inside to take a look.

And be sure to take a walk out toward the beach and pier. I also think the gardens at the far Eastern courtyard are so beautiful.

But as someone said, you can't go wrong.

It does take a while to walk to the GF...maybe 15 minutes. Lovely walk, too.

I agree you should take a peek inside, the lobby is quite impressive. The grounds are very lush, anywhere you walk it's quite beautiful. The walk from the Polynesian to GF is very nice, but if it's hot you may want to stay with the monorail as there wasn't much shade--at least not that I recall. But it is very lovely. And then again, I'm from Ohio where we don't know from heat! :sunny:
