We would like to do something special for our 20th wedding anniversary and we are thinking of staying at the Polynesian for a week , we would like a lagoon view room. Which room would you suggest as the best view? Also the anniversary is November next year, how far in advance do you need to book?
Thanks

I highly recommend the Tahiti building for great lagoon view rooms. Currently that building is being used for concierge guests and I'm not sure when it will be converted back to regular guest rooms. I'd book as far out as you can because this is a popular resort! It is my favorite ;) and I think it is the perfect spot for an anniversary trip! For more info on rooms and buildings you can do a search for Tikiman's Polynesian website. It is AWESOME! And it is very informative with tons of pictures!

Have a magical aniversary trip!

Thanks for answering so quickly. I guess we should make up our minds soon and start booking. We were thinking about Portofino Bay or Royal Pacific at Universal and also the Polynesian or Contemporary at Disney. We have stayed at the Carribean Beach, Port Orleans and Animal Kingdom loved the Port Orleans and Animal Kingdom but would not stay at Carribean Beach again (just not for us). I'm almost certain we will choose the Polynesian and I can't wait.
Thanks again for the reply.

Between the Contemporary or Polynesian, the Poly has the better view of the lagoon.

We've stayed at both and love both, but the Poly wins out by a nose.

If you can afford the expense for the Concierge Level, I would highly recommend it. It will be back in the Hawaii building by next year. They have a great Concierge Lounge that looks over the Magic Kingdom.

If that isn't in the budget, then the Tahiti would have the next best view.

Book as soon as you know what you want to do, to ensure a better chance of getting the room you'd like.

Good Luck!

I agree with Uncle Scar. If you can, stay at Hawaii (concierge). It's nice to have the extra's that the concierge level offers on a special occasion. If you can't do that, then Tahiti is the next best longhouse. I've stayed at Hawaii in 2001 and in 2002 and it's great to have them make your PS's for you. My DW and I will be back at the Polynesian in 12/04.

Thanks so much for your info. I have been looking at the Tikiman Polynesian website and it makes it even more inviting. Since it's an anniversary trip and we won't have the kids with us this time we may be able to swing concierge.
Thanks again
