Polynesian?

Hi eveyone
Just wondering if anyone has ever stayed at the Polynesian Resort? If so we would love some info. We usually stay at the Yacht Club at the end of August beginning of September, but this year with the kids schedule we're not able to go during that time. So we plan on going from December 4-10, which I heard is a good time to go and it is value season, but mayb not for the Yacht Club because i didn't find any deals or packages that we usually get. So we are looking at the Polynesian or animal kingdom (the only thing with the AKL is that it is so far away from a lot). We are really looking into the Polynesian and would like to know what is it like? Thnx for any help!!!

Hi We stayed at the poly May 17-25. We loved it! We had 5 people in our party, Myself, 2 grown daughters, and two preteens, we stayed in Rapi Nui and I was really impressed. The room was very large with flatscreen tv and queen beds, it also has a sofa bed. This building is quiet and the rooms are larger but you can get a garden view and the rates are good, especially if you have annual passes. We fell in love with the poly! We are going to stay there again in Dec. Can't waite!

You will love it! No the discount codes aren't out for December yet but I bought annual passes and when the codes do come out you usually get quiet a bit off the room rate.

Stayed at the Poly December of last year. I believe my AP discount was like $265 a night, garden view, but we requested and got Figi with a marina view, 3rd floor. It was great! We loved every minute of it and I cried when we had to leave. The view from our balcony was of Space Mountain, the Contemporary, the marina and the volcano pool. The smell from 'Ohana made my mouth water every night as I sat and dreaded the moment we had to leave. If I ever win the lottery, I swear I am going to live at the Poly!

We absolutely loved the Poly last September. There was almost nobody there! Great views of the fireworks at MK, big room size, and the location on the monorail--all great reasons to stay there.

I love, love Love the Poly and so do my girls. Last year Magical Memories Travel had a group rate that was a good savings. I think I saw a similar rate on their website for this December.

We stayed at the Polynesian last week in Rarotonga. (We wanted to be close to the monorail). We had a view of the small pool from our room. I never pay for a view because I feel I am never there long enough to enjoy it. The room was very nice, but a little dark, especially the bathroom. The flatscreen TV was AWESOME!!! Our family absolutely LOVED the pool becasue of the slide and the fact that it was open late. We could stay at the park until 9:00 and then go back to the pool. It was open until midnight (slide closes at 10PM though) The temptation of the pool made it easy to persuade DD to leave the park. We also LOVED LOVED LOVED the convenience of the monorail. Our son was days from his third birthday, but he has some muscle weakness so we always need to have his stroller. What a pleasure it was when we went to the MK and Epcot! Even the area where you waited for the bus for MGM and AK was nice- shaded with benches. (We stayed at AS Movies last year and the bus lines were the closest I ever want to feel like cattle!!)

We ate breakfast in the KONA Cafe. It was the standard breakfast fare. We did not bother with Ohana because our kids like Lilo and Stitch, but don't love them, so we did not spend the extra $$.
