I was told by Disney online rep that we can stay at Poly as a family of 6 (since baby is under 3). Has anyone done this and do you find it comfortable?

How old are your other kids? I think you should be fine...you and DH sleep in one bed, the other bed can be for two kids, the pull out couch and then a pack-n-play. But it depends on the ages of the older kids...you may feel crowded if they are big.

There isn't a pull out couch in a standard Poly room (at least none I've stayed in). It's 2 Queens and a day bed. It's definitely doable, but the day bed is smaller than a pull out couch in other resorts so it generally sleeps 1 so i foresee it being tight. Have you considered another room type? The family suite at ASM sleeps 6 or perhaps a villa at another resort for additional space?

From a space standpoint you'll be ok however from a bed/sleeping area standpoint it'll be tight unless a kid sleeps on the floor or something.

You'll also likely want to do everything you can to stay in a longhouse with a doublesink in the bathroom.

Look at the tikiman website to give you details on those longhouses.

If space is more of a concern than budget then consider staying at one of the places listed above.

We did this a couple years ago with a 12 yr old, 9 yr old, 6 yr old and a 2 yr old. We LOVED it. Felt we had plenty of space. The 12 yr old slept on the day bed. The rooms themselves are more spacious than a value or mod. And we will never be able to afford 2 rooms there. So now that our "baby" is 5, we look back at our stay at the Poly as a "once in a lifetime" thing. I say " go for it!"

.

I'm not sure why anyone would be sleeping on the floor. Mom and dad in a bed, two kids in a bed, third kid on a daybed and the baby in a pack and play. Unless I misunderstood the number of people in the family, they will be fine with the Poly. I'm not sure of the ages of the OP's children, but I know when my kids were preschoolers they would all three sleep comfortably in one queen bed and preferred it that way. I think any of the deludes would be a great choice because they basically have the same layout. (I don't really count AKL and WL as deluxe. They are more like a jr deluxe).

This is a great point! If not once in a lifetime resort, it may be a once in a long time resort!

We are a family of 4, but the Poly rooms are pretty spacious (IMO), so I think you'll be fine. As others have said, mom/dad in 1 queen, 2 kids in 2nd queen, another on daybed, baby in pack-n-play. Have a great trip.....the Poly is an awesome resort :thumbsup2.

I meant the daybed. I couldn't think of the word...it's been a long day :surfweb:
