Polynesian - when will this go on sale?

When will points/membership at the Poly go on sale? Considering buying DVC for the first time, and the new expansion at the Polynesian sounds awesome. I know we can buy points elsewhere and have a different home resort, but we'd be looking to spend some holidays at WDW so I think we'll need to buy at the Poly to ensure the 11-month booking window.

If you are looking for a guess, if they declare the renovated building at the same level of completion as they would a new building then it is possible we could see points late spring or summer.

If they wait for the bungalows then it could be late 2014

Grand Floridian points began selling 5 months before the resort opened. Other times DVC has begun selling more than a year before opening. It mostly depends upon their internal timelines.

The Polynesian villas have an estimated opening of 2015. At this point we don't even know if that means January, December or somewhere in between.

Personally I don't think they will begin selling Poly points for at least another year.

Have they even closed the buildings that are being renovated yet?

There were reports that the first closed in late August or September, but I have not seen any follow up or construction confirmation. If they did it would be very unusual for it to take 15 months or more to do a gut out and renovation, as this typically should take 6-10 months, not including related site work
