Polynesian Villas/Bungalows vs. Village Resort and Construction

Hello. We have one night booked at the Polynesian. We've never stayed there before. I read that there is construction going on during the time we will be staying there. Is it better to stay in a "Deluxe Studio Standard View" in the Villas/Bungalow section or a "Standard View" room in the Village section? Or at these the same type of rooms? I'm a little confused. Which type of room would be best to avoid construction noise/issues?

A "room" is different from a "studio." If you go to Disneyworld.com, hover over Places To Stay, then click on Deluxe Resort Hotels, you can click on Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. It will take you to a description of what you get in each type of room and studio there.

A DVC studio will get you further away from the Poly construction area. If you booked on the resort side, you can certainly make a request to be away from the construction, but it's not guaranteed. These are two different booking categories, though, so you will need to book the exact room you want. For example, you can't book a room at the Poly resort and request a DVC studio.

A "Deluxe Studio Standard View" is a DVC studio and will be guaranteed to place you as far away from the construction as possible.

As others have written, a "Deluxe Studio Standard View" is part of DVC, which is on the opposite side of where the construction is:

I doubt there would be a lot of noticeable noise at any of the Poly rooms as the construction is not that close there are also a lot of trees that will help as well. If you decide on a regular room request or book if it is a category pool view or near pool. I think GF especially the DVC part will see and hear more than the Poly.

Personally, I wouldn't risk it if noise is bothersome. We stayed in Fiji, first floor, luau cove side a few years ago and, although I loved the location for fireworks viewing on the beach each night, the luau noise was very prominent and became quite annoying during a week's stay. If anyone is planning on sleeping late or spending time in their room during the day to relax or nap, the noise could become an issue.
