Does anyone here know when they stopped calling the Poly "Polynesian Village?" I was at a tag sale today and they were selling the cutest glass. It is frosted glass, a tiki man - happy face on one side, angry face on the other. And along the rim on one side, in green, it says "Walt Disney World" and on the other side it says "Polynesian Village." It was only a quarter, so of course, I couldn't leave him there, but I'm curious.

Thanks!!! :thumbsup2

From what I have found the "Village" was dropped in 1985 after they expanded the resort.

What a great find! I would just love to come across something like that. You must be thrilled! A little nostalgia . . . :thumbsup2

I've wondered the same thing. Good to know CDST. I do know it was still the Polynesian Village when we first stayed there in 1983.
