Yea it was the side of the tower closest to the grand. You can see the castle if you look to the right but if you are just in the room you see grand Floridan. So your room is on the north side (short side, closest to VGF)? I’d personally expect the TP view rooms to be on the east side of the building that face the seven seas lagoon.
How much more the balcony is the right of the first picture, what’s that view look like?
Have you spoken to the front desk? Did you book via points or cash? The views are less generous on the cash side for some of the resorts (BWV some standard view rooms for points count as Pool/Garden for cash, ask me how I found that out).
Edit: I’d personally be talking to the front desk claiming over 50% of the view counts as either Resort or Premium view (I’d say more like Resort/Standard and very little Premium).
That looks more to be what I would consider a preferred view. Are you sure you booked TP view?Am I overreacting thinking this is not acceptable to be called a theme park view 1 bedroom? I'm afraid of the other rooms dvc calls theme park considering how expensive the points are.

I'm 100% sure. My points would also agree haha. That looks more to be what I would consider a preferred view. Are you sure you booked TP view?
Straight on we are looking at Grand Floridian. If you look over to the right at an angle you can see mk.Touring Plans has the accurate info on room categories and yes, those handful of rooms on the “north” end like that are TPV and have been questioned by many who followed the Tower closely. In fairness your first pic looking straight off your balcony does have a very good view of the MK entrance, Tron, Space Mountain, and you can see the castle just over the GF building, and your other pics are more looking to the left.
Wheres the theme park? Maybe they just identify it as theme park?Am I overreacting thinking this is not acceptable to be called a theme park view 1 bedroom? I'm afraid of the other rooms dvc calls theme park considering how expensive the points are.

8525 was the room.Interestingly I was in a resort view room and was on the same side with a similar view (looking at the chapel but could see the castle to the right). Was room 8323.

I went to the front and asked for a new room which we just got into and it's way better. I also sent dvc an email saying they need to reevaluate the views but I didn't know if I was overreacting .
I don't know if I want to book theme park again until there is a more comprehensive list of what is a theme park view.
Thanks.
Used Google Maps and the answer is...Of course at Riviera, you can see Spaceship Earth and fireworks (and... parking lot) from the Standard view and can't from Preferred so there's that. I wonder which is farther away Poly to Castle or Riviera to Golf Ball.
