Polynesian to DHS and AK---rent a car?

I would love some advice from all of you experts. We are staying at the Polynesian, then Beach Club, in a couple of weeks.

My question is, how long do you think it takes to get by bus from the TTC to the following locations at roughly these times of day?

1. Poly to AK for an 8 a.m. at Tusker House and back to Poly around 2 p.m.

2. Poly to DHS early evening for SW fireworks and back to Poly after fireworks.

3. Poly to DHS mid day and leaving after 8:30 Fantasmic.

4. Late afternoon (Tuesday or Wednesday) from Poly to Disney Springs and back to Poly after dinner.

5. Mid day Beach Club to AK and back to Beach Club before park close.

6. Late afternoon Beach Club to Disney Springs and back to Beach Club after dinner.

I really prefer not to drive from the airport--easier to relax and be excited rather than worrying about traffic and directions (we are flying into Sanford), but I will rent a car if that will save me significant time to and from these destinations. Right now I have a Town Car booked to-from the airport.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

There are direct buses to all those destinations no need to go via the TTC. Sometimes you will share the route with another resort in that area (BC will share with YC and possibly another Epcot resort and Poly shares with the Grand on some routes. It is hard to say how long its going to take you but I never rent a car and rarely have long bus waits, for me though not having to drive is one of the best parts of vacation as I drive quite a bit in daily life.

Since you can monorail or boat (or walk) to two parks from each of the resorts you have chosen maybe consider starting without a car and then rent if needed? Even if you have to grab a cab once in a while if you run short on time it won't equal the cost and hassle of a rental car.

Agree. Don't need a car. The only hitch is DS as the buses seem to be a constant issue there. You can always call a cab if you're gonna be late.
