Polynesian Summer

Congrats on your graduation, quite an accomplishment. My friend's daughter just graduated from ND too!

We've only been to LTT for dinner, hoping to try it for lunch some day as that dessert looks delish!

Glad you seem to be avoiding the crowds, that can be hard sometimes in summer.

Aloha! Just found this TR. I've been a lurker on most (if not all) of your previous TR's but you know what, it's time to come out of hiding.

Looking forward to reading!

Emma,
Congratulations on your graduation!!:banana::thumbsup2:cool1::woohoo::yay::dance3::cheer2:
I can just see your resume' now -
"Have visited DLP and very proficient at resort-hopping". lol!
Seriously, congratulations and good luck with your future!
Amy

Congrats on your graduation! GO IRISH!

I am a proud graduate of Saint Mary's, so I know exactly how hard you worked to get there!

I knew that there was a reason I enjoyed reading your posts so much!

Jennifer

So proud of you, friend@ :cheer2:

Belle says "Hello! Did you see Tiana, Miss Emma?"

"we went to cedar point one day. it made me think how truly superior Disney is in every way. and it made me feel like such a Disney Snob"
That is a very true comment about how superior Disney is.
We were at Kings Island one summer right after we had been to WDW the previous spring. I missed the FP, the theming etc. I saw a lady with a WDW bag at Kings Island. I told my DH I wanted to go up to her and ask her if she wished she were there as much as I did right then. Other theme parks are fun, but just not Disney.
This happened to me at Dollywood and was pretty funny (I thought). My DD's Girl Scouts went to Pigeon Forge and we spent a day at Dollywood. I had my WDW backpack on when we got off the train which let off right beside a comedian/magician. He saw my backpack and starting singing M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E. Then he said why are you carrying that??? You're at Dollywood silly - not Disney - goodness!!!! It was pretty funny that he caught what my backpack said.
I didn't say I wish I were at Disney - nothing against Dollywood - but it's just not Disney.

Congratulations on your graduation. I hope you find the perfect job for you. What field will you be working in? It should including writing for sure.:thumbsup2

We monorailed it back over to our lovely Polynesian (aside: did anybody else watch the ‘Surprise Homecoming’ show on TLC? It was really cute, soldiers surprise their families coming home, and one of them happened at DISNEY WORLD and the dad took the monorail! It just made me super excited to see the monorail. lol!)

The show was absolutely adorable! When the little girl and boy saw their dad in the parade, I broke down . Such a good surprise.

Love the update, Dart is such a cutie at BLTV. Totally want to go slide down that slide now!

Congratulations on your graduation. My dad is a ND graduate. Good luck with the job search and entering the "real" world.

Loved your last couple of updates. I absolutely adore that roast beef sandwich at LTT. It is one of my all time favs.

So Porthos parasailed. Very cool. When I stayed at BLT last September it looked really fun!

So any Disney plans for this summer?

Great update and congrats on the graduation!

First off, congratulations on your graduation!!!:banana::banana:

This is a pretty awesome pic!

What a great afternoon and evening! I'm happy you all finally got to enjoy the Contemporary and BLT pools and your brother (now I forget which one) got to parasail! Too funny about his amazing description!:rotfl:

I'm kind of glad for you that you did not take your camera out to "your" hammock. How relaxing. Plus your description was just beautiful. I could just see it and started to relax too. Which is just what I need now - right before bedtime!
I've heard other rave reviews of the grilled cheese there too. It must be something special!

Wandering along a winding path, surrounded by lush tropical Polynesian foliage, when the summer dusk is just falling and the heat has broken so it’s not punishing but just a familiar friend, and all the tiki torches are glimmering and winking and the palm trees are sort-of waving lazily –it’s such a lovely thing to do!

This might be my very favorite paragraph from any of your numerous (and invariably excellent) trip reports! You captured the essence of the Polynesian!

Looking forward to more!
