Looking to book at Polynesian in the DVC standard studio room. What building would be the best ? Being close to the path to magic kingdom maybe or close to the lobby depending how far they are away from each other. Thanks!

I'd go for close to the lobby, because the Poly-GF-MK pathway detours now due to construction on the new Poly tower.

Trying to use it won't be nearly as enjoyable as before all that got underway and likely won't be for much of the rest of this year,

The building are all pretty close to each other, but Tokleu is the one right near the quiet pool and closest to the lobby. There are also some rooms that can see water from them.

Hard to say in a vacuum, as you haven't outlined your travel party/priorities.

We were there a few weeks ago. We didn't request a building and ended up in Pago Pago. It was actually great for us-- super-convenient to the parking lot (we drive to WDW, and have two toddlers, so lots of stuff). And actually about as close to the TTC as it is to the lobby, which gives more flexibility (even with MK).

We are traveling in December. Any idea when construction will be done?

Safe to say construction will still be happening this upcoming Dec.

The 3 DVC buildings are on the side of the resort closest to the TTC (Ticket & Transportation Center). They are furthest from construction of the new tower.

If you are going to MK/Epcot quite a bit then Pago Pago is great as you can easily walk to the TTC to get the monorails or ferry (MK only).

Normally I'd say Tokelau... but, the last trip, we were put on the 3rd floor of Pago Pago, and we were able to see fireworks in the sky. Best view!

We were just there in January with a large group (5 rooms). We had three rooms in Pago Pago and two Moorea towards the TTC end. It was very convenient for MK and Epcot days. The lobby and bus stop aren't too far of a walk. We've stayed three other times all in Moorea Lake View rooms towards the middle of the building. It's all the same really. Tokelau I would think gets you a little bit closer to the lobby and walking path. I think we're talking a couple of minutes max difference though. The resort is amazing no matter where your room is. I'm a PVB fan.

Poly is one of my favorite resorts. If you are booked in a DVC standard room, I would say Tokelau or Moorea. I always make Moorea my first request, because I feel like everyone requests Tokelau since it is closer to the main lobby... plus I feel like there is not a bad view in Moorea. With Pago Pago you risk being placed in a studio that faces the parking lot, but if you don't mind that... Pago Pago is ever so slightly closer to the TTC. PS... If you like walking, the walk to MK via the new walking path is really nice from the Poly... it's about a mile, but you pass through the Grand Floridian and we have seen the wedding coach and horses a couple of times... even gotten pictures with the coach and horses too. I hope this helps!! Enjoy your stay!!

I think the path is closed right. Now.
