Polynesian Resort question

It's so exciting to hear how many Poly fans there are! We are WL people. Okay, that's the only place we've stayed for our 3 trips, but it does feel like home. This Sept. we booked the Poly for a few reasons that I hope work out for us.
1. My father (Granpa to the DD's) will be going with us and the monorail may keep his bad knee from too much aggravation.
2. We'll be 3 adults and 2 kids in one room and the room size seemed a bit more inviting than our other options.
Any thoughts on this? Have I "logic'ed" myself into a bad choice, or does this fit with other people's experience at the Poly?

we have now booked for 3 nights for April 09 and requested Samoa, 3rd floor balcony.

You have "logic'ed" yourself into a great choice, especially for having the monorail so it will be easier for your father to get around. Have fun!!
