Polynesian Resort Art Gallery

Hi all:

Could anyone remind me of the name of either the art gallery or the artist whose work is shown in the gallery off the lobby of the Polynesian Resort. This is the wonderful shop with the Polynesian paintings and the sculptures of dolphins, turtles, and manatees.

This would be the Wyland Gallary. They also have one at the BoardWalk Inn just outside as you approach the Boardwalk area shopps and restaurants.

You are right. They have spectacular art and sculptures of Disney characters. I have been tempted at times to buy an Arial painting, but have resisted the temptation.

Thanks so much, ADP! Much appreciated. That's exactly what I needed.

We love that shop! The bronze sculptures are my favourite. We asked one time, and one of the dolphin sculptures (a coffee table), would have cost $2500 just to ship it. I was afraid to ask how much it actually cost!

We'll have to take a look at the one at the Boardwalk when we're back in July.

FYI, the Wyland Gallery at the Poly is temporarily relocated. It is there, just in the back by Captain Cook's while they renovate all the downstairs shopping space. There are nice new bathrooms and it should all be ready for summertime, according to a nice CM at one of the shops.
