The water slide at the polynesian pool... is there an age limit for who can go down it??? Also is it possible for an adult to go down with a child??? Or is it strictly 1 person at a time??? obviously every child is different. but do you think it would be too much for a 4 year old??? Is there anything at or around the pool for children??? Any child play areas or anything? Thanks!

There is no age or height limits for the slide. No 2 people at once, so your child will have to go down alone. It is a tunnel slide, so is dark inside, but not pitch black. There are life guards all over the pool, and one is right by the exit. There is a red/green light at the entrance up top that helps space people apart.

It is one of the faster pool slides at Disney Resorts. I'm 6ft, 180 lbs and flew down the slide pretty quickly. So if you want to wait at the exit, you should be off to the side a bit. Especially if I'm going down.:)

There is no playground at the Poly. Of course, there is a giant playground just a short monorail ride away. There are some small water jets near the pool which little kids like.

IMO, Disney Resorts are really lacking in their pool / recreation facilities as compared to some off site places. For example, the lack of a playground, a baby pool play area, and jacuzzis.

I was amazed last year to see some really tiny kiddos coming down the slide. We got to the top and my ds decided not to go. I could see why. I was a little nervous myself. ;)

My sons love this slide! In 2006, my DS was just 4 and he rode it non-stop! We are staying there again next year because the kids love the Poly!

My dd loves the slide also. My dh on the other hand has gone done it a few times and says he just can't see how some of the littler ones are'nt afraid of it. Although most kids are fearless! This is our favorite resort and we make sure to have some down time daily just for the use of the pool and slide.

I don't think there is a slide on WDW property where you can go down two at a time. Except for the double slides at the water parks, like Crush N Gusher.

When we were there, they were pretty strict about the two at a time. If someone did it, they were asked by the lifeguards to not do it again. But you could sneak up there once and claim innocence when asked to not do it again. There was no guard at the top when we were there. And they needed one--we had some 8/9/10 year olds running the show, cutting in line and going before the light told them to.

My son was 4 when we went and he was scared of the tunnel, so didnt go down. They would not let us take him down.

They do have a pop jet part which is fun at the pool.

We just went this past weekend and my dd is only 3 and she was able to go down, but her dad could not go down with her. He went before her and then she went down.
