OK, call me crazy, going to Disney over Christmas, but I just couldn't resist the Embrace the Magic package for the Polynesian.

This will be our second trip to WDW. Are there special activities occuring over Christmas that would be good to take in?

Also, I requested the Tokelau, garden view. Is this a good choice with my 3 and 5 year old or is there a better longhouse?

Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

I asked the concierge staff what the resort activities would be during christmas, but they didn't have that information yet. They said to check back with about a month to go.

When we were at the Poly in 2001 my kids liked the activites in the lobby. DD10 (then) made flower leis and they had coloring books if I remember right.

The lady bug release sounds fun. The luau was neat, the kids would like to do it again, but it's not something we can add and we don't want to give up 'Ohana's for Christmas Eve dinner or the Neverland Club/California Grill night.

The Neverland Club is wonderful! You can go and stay with your kids durring the day. There are many things for the kids to do there. I believe my DD told me that the video games were free. Our DS4 (then) enjoyed the Neverland Club very much, but then again he is a Peter Pan freak! I think he's wearing his Peter costume right now, complete with sword.

Have a wonderful time. And if I find out what the Christmas activites are going to be, I'll let you know.

At the risk of stating the obvious...

* MVMCP is terrific fun for kids, complete with snow on Main Street and hot chocolate.

* The Osborne Lights at MGM are a wonder to behold ... and also include falling snow and hot chocolate!

* At EPCOT, the World Showcase offers different Santas from around the world, spinning tales and talking about their traditions.

* At MGM, they USED to have (and may still offer) a little Belle & Beast show about the holidays every afternoon.

* Take a monorail ride to the other resorts to check out their trees. The one at the GF is especially amazing ... and there's even a life-sized ginger bread house in the lobby.

Thanks for your great suggestions!

First, Eller, why do you like going to Ohana's on Christmas Eve?

Greg, pardon my ignorance, but what is MVMCP?

"Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party." It's a separate, ticketed event held on certain nights in the Magic Kingdom during the holiday season, with only a limited number of tickets sold.

There's a special parade, FALLING SNOW on Main Street, free hot chocolate and cookies, and lots of fun surprises. Not to mention great access to great rides without long lines.

It's not that we really like going there on Christmas Eve (this is our first Christmas trip), but rather it's a wonderful restaurant and it fit perfectly for our Christmas meal. Besides, 'Ohana means family and I can't think of a better place to be with my family celebrating God's gift.

We are only spending three nights at the Poly, leaving only so much time to enjoy the resort.

Happy planning!
