Polynesian or Contemporary?

Another vote for the Poly. We stayed there in October and LOVED it. The theming and landscaping are wonderful and the atmosphere is soooo relaxing. Also, Kona Coffee--the best in the world. The proximity of the Transportation and Ticketing Center is also a major plus. The good news is that you can easily enjoy what the Contemporary has to offer. We monorailed over for an excellent dinner and awesome fireworks at California Grill, and my hubby enjoyed a few games at the Arcade. (The Contemporary arcade is ok, but Poly has a decent arcade too. DisneyQuest is the best arcade of all). I like modern decor but found the interior look of the Contemporary a turn-off, altho many will disagree.

Whichever you choose, have a wonderful time!

We have stayed at both resorts with our now 6 year old son, who thinks the best ride at Disney is the monorail. We were surprised that he likes the Polynesian the best. As did we. We just returned from our first visit there, and fell in love with the resort. The pool is right next to the beach, and the view is breathtaking. The volcano water slide is great, and our son could not go down it enough times. We saw three weddings up on a hill at the resort with Cinderella's Castle as the back drop. We sat on the beach at night and watched the fireworks, as well as the water parade. We could hear the parades at the Magic Kingdom at night, and the view was wonderful even at night. We could see fireworks from the Contemporary, but the view is much better at the Polynesian. Everything is much more convenient. We loved it there so much that we changed our July reservation from the Contemporary to Polynesian. Go there and you won't be sorry!
