We will be going to Disney in December and have thought about going to the luau at the Polynesian. I wanted some input from some of you that have been to this. What did you think? Would a 3 year old enjoy it?

Thanks for your responses in advance.:D

We took our 3 yo last December. He was pretty impressed! We got him a child's plate (chicken fingers, mac & cheese). He especially liked the part where the kids went up and learned to hula. He was also pretty tired, and he fell asleep during the last part of the show. I wouldn't have done the luau just for him. For the $$$ ($24.95 for him) he probably didn't get much out of it. But, the adults wanted to do it, and he was sufficiently entertained!:D

Thank you for the input.

Have you ever been to Ohanas? I understand that they have some sort of entertainment for children such as hula hoop or coconut rolling contest. Do you think that would be better? She loves seafood and chicken.
:D

We haven't been to 'Ohana, but we're going there this September. It sounds like a lot of fun--I can't wait to try it!

I have read on these boards before that if you want to take young kids to a dinner show, the Hoop dee do Revue is better. We've never been, so I don't know for sure. If you want to try a dinner show, maybe some people that have been to it could give you some input.

Happy planning!-Dana:D

You'll have to post about your visit to Ohanas when you return. I have also thought about the Hoop-Dee-Doo. Maybe someone will respond that has been with a younger child to let me know their opinion. Hope you have a great trip in September!:D

I haven't done the Luau, but we took our daughter to Hoop Dee Doo this past December when she was just over 4. She loved every minute of it and talks about it still :) My daughter loves singing and dancing so she loved that but also loved the slapstick humor of it. I would definitely recommend it.

Kes,
Thanks for the post. We will definately consider the Hoop-Dee-Doo. My daughter also loves to sing and dance so this might be something we all could enjoy.

thanks:D
