we are staying in a deluxe studio lake view. Can anyone help with where to request a room. We would love to have a room that can see the fireworks and possibly see the castle or space Mountain? Anybody have pics and what level to stay on.

Just request a high floor. All lake view rooms are in Moorea and will have views of the fireworks.

All 2nd and 3rd floor PVB Lake view have unobstructed view of Theme Park and Lake -- with exception of 2029 and 3029 -- which still have unobstructed view of Theme Park (which Poly defines as view of cast therefore fireworks) but partial obstruction of lake by mature palm tree. See my Moore Lake Views online spreadsheet with a key of room numbers with view obstructions and links to photos where available :thumbsup2 Note, some of the first floor units have view of castle, as indicated in my spreadsheet. Of those that don't, some still have view of Space Mountain, which Poly does not define as a Theme Park view. All first floor have partial obstruction of lake (due to Bungalows directly in front of them).

I have to disagree with you about 2030. The palm tree seemed to be more in front of 2029. We had a fine view of the fireworks.

Did you have a view of the actual castle? I'm using Poly's definition of "Theme Park View" which is an unobstructed view of Cinderella's castle. Thanks!

Note: If you click on the link, I have links to photos from 3029 and 3031, which is how I know the palm tree is in front of 3030, therefore deduced it's also in front of 2030, below -- but without being into he unit itself it's hard to judge what is and isn't obstructed from that room. I'll update it to "partially obstructed" but if you could confirm if you could see the castle, that would be great! Photo from the balcony even better -- will link to your post. Thanks!

According to my bill, I was in 2030, and we had a view of the castle. These are from the balcony on 7/13, so it's pretty clear unless the palm tree has grown a whole lot in three months. I took them with my iPad, so they aren't the greatest pictures.

And this is 3032 on 9/25.

Thanks, this is great news! This means all 2nd/ 3rd floor have view of castle/fireworks -- sounds like 2029/3029 just have partial obstruction of lake (to right) due to palm tree. I updated my spreadsheet to reflect this and include links to those views. Thanks!

We just checked in on Thu. Had a lake view room. Desk clerk said room was not ready but it was 1st floor. I politely said we had requested a 3rd floor. He made a phone call and we got a 3rd floor that was ready right away (3031, pics coming below). 1st floor rooms do not look like they would have much of a view of the castle unless it is between 2 bungalows. You could most likely see most of the fireworks from there, but not the lower ones, nor a clear view of the water parade. The experience would not be anywhere near what it is on the 3rd floor.

I think it is much bigger than a dot with the naked eye, but with a camera lens it looks like a dot. Cameras unless zoomed do not see as well as the naked eye.

Thanks, the pic with the boat in it is pretty close to the View with the naked eye. The castle was definitely larger than a dot. This one is not zoomed at all and the castle was significantly larger to the eye than in the picture.
