My family (me, wife, 6 year old,and 3 year old) are staying at the Polynesian for 1 week in May. We are staying in a Garden View, but would like a "nice" view, but not oo loud of an area, but not too far removed either (I seem so picky). Can anyone suggest a good building/room ? Thanks.

Welcome to the DIS! :grouphug:

You've chosen a great resort. Have yu visited Tikiman's site? It has all you've ever wanted to know about the Polynesian.

But the vast majority of gardenview rooms fit all your needs. The resort is not all that big so nothing is too far from the Great Ceremonial House. Tokleau is a nice centrally located building, all rooms have balconies or lanais, and the views are very pretty as they are from almost every room in the resort.

I loved Tokelau, but I agree with BCV23, visit Tikiman's web site and "browse". Have a great trip! :)

Tikiman's url is www.tikiman2001.homestead.com.

We are also deciding on buildings (garden view) for our July stay at Poly (with 7 year old and 5 year old). I have narrowed it down to Samoa (convenience factor, right next to volcano pool), Fiji (new rooms, close to pool, and pretty views), and I hear raves about Tokelau. I have never stayed at Poly so the info I have has been garnered from these boards.

I found it helpful to review the Poly map on Tikiman's site.

Good luck!
