Polynesian - $229 garden view - AP rate for the summer

Does a Garden View give you a garden view and not a parking lot view or a gravel roof ?

Just a thought if we did get the rate for the Polynesian.

What buildings are Garden view ?

Yes, it appears that the Poly garden views are really views of vegetation (Rapa Nui seems to have a small parking lot view). The Tikiman site has all of the information, including dozens of photos, that you need when selecting rooms. The URL is

Some gardenview rooms actually give you Lagoon views. Example would be Samoa... We stayed there last May and I am dying to get back!

We were in rapa nui and it faced the tahiti building... wonderful!! Also loved that we could go to the ticket and transportation center for the express MK monorail.

Basically GV @ the poly is EVERYTHING but dead on lagoon view. Figi (bld.)3rd floor marina view (is gv) we could see the lagoon, cr, marina, poly areas. Pool views from niue, rarotonga, tokelau, hawawii (gv conc.), samoa =all GV. We have had the "other" side (parking lot) of raotonga 3rd floor and could barely see or notice the parking lot with the trees, foliage, & monorail, didn't bother us at all. We really liked this location. Rapa nui does also have a dreaded parking lot side but it is set back and away from it, also camoplaged with foliage and its own little entrance way. Aoreortoa has a lovely monorail gv side with a nice walkway, very peaceful and quiet back there. No parking lot behind here but the parking lot is to the left if you are hanging over and looking for it.

Cannot beat the GV for the discount price at the poly. You could get very lucky. We just request 3rd floor, prefer a balcony to patio (for us), and let them choose. We have been often and have stayed in almost all buildings. Enjoyed trying each one out, like staying in a different resort almost.
