Polynesian Drink

Their signature drink is a Lapu Lapu that's served in a whole pineapple. Could that be what you are thinking of?

They also serve their Pina Coladas in a short tiki god glass (which you can also buy in the BouTiki) :confused3

If there's another drink I'm missing clue me in :drinking1

When I first went to the Tambu Lounge, I asked for a Lapu Lapu in a Tiki glass, instead of the pineapple (I knew I'd be having more than one, and good pineapples shouldn't have to give their lives for some drunk knucklehead). The bartender said she'd have to call it a "Zombie." The recipe was slightly different, in that it didn't have the Amaretto (shudder) that the Lapu Lapu has.

During the considerable time I was there, the only other drink I saw served in a Tiki glass was a Pina Colada.

Another Tambu-unique drink is the "Backscratcher," but that's served in a Hurricane glass...with an actual backscratcher as a drinks stirrer...

Ok that's funny..."good pineapples shouldn't have to give their lives for some drunk knucklehead". :lmao: Such a good quote, mind if I use it some time??? LOL

My DS22 had a Zombie at the Polynesian in July and he said it was pretty good! I don't remember what kind of glass it came in though. I've never seen a drink in a "big tiki" glass. Just the short ones already mentioned. :confused3

I had the backscratcher 7 years ago and I still have the bamboo back scratcher. Works great. :upsidedow LOL

Zombie comes in a Tiki glass and it's a lot cheaper than a Lapu Lapu and still has a nice kick.
