If you are planning a stay at the Polynesian (or Grand Floridian) I want to recommend the walkway from Magic Kingdom to the resorts. It's a very pleasant and interesting alternative to the monorail or ferry. We didn't pass a soul. Passes Electric Parade float canal. Can stop for a drink at Grand Floridian. Of course, you need to still have the energy ... it takes about 30 min. Great way to depressurize. There is a nice You Tube video of the walk by 4K WDW.

The walkway being finished is just another example of never say never with Disney!

For those that are wondering, the walking distance from the Poly to the MK is about 1.5 miles.

Thanks for posting this - we are finally staying at the Poly in early Feb. after years of trying to stay either there or GF but not being able to get a reservation (we often travel on a bit of short notice) and always loved staying at the EPCOT resorts because we could walk to both Studios and EPCOT, so we are looking forward to being able to walk to the MK via this walkway as well. Going to check out the youtube video later this evening.
