We're going in early May staying at the Polynesian in a concierge garden view room. We prefer first floor and we think we want to be closest to the Playground/Marina side. Does anyone have any specific room numbers that we can request that fit our preferences? We're assuming that a first floor room has a patio--is this true? Thanks for any help!

I got your email and I tried to reply and it could not send to that address so I will post the message here.

Yes the Hawaii longhouse has first floor patios. We
also like the patio the best. The playground has been
replaced by a kids wet play area when they did the new
pool but I know what end of the building you are
talking about. This is also the end where the check in
desk, main entrance and housekeeping storage is so you
will want to stay away from the last room on that side
(room 1534). The room numbers for the ground level
facing the quite pool (garden view) are 1534-1519.
They are not odd or even on each side so they go in
order around the longhouse clockwise. You will be
happy if you get any of the rooms with an exception to
1534 the last one so you can recommend any of these. I
would go with something on the other end myself
because it is a little more quiet, you have a great
un-obstructed view toward the quiet pool and you can
use the back entrance to go right to the beach. The
room on the end is 1519. I would not worry about being
far from the lounge because the longhouse is not that
long. You can see pictures of the outside of the
Hawaii gardenview rooms when my web page is back up on
the 4th. If you have any other questions, just ask.

Aloha

Tikiman, can you suggest third-floor rooms--garden view--rooms to request in Poly concierge.

Thanks

Tikiman -- thank you so much for your response. We immediately emailed the concierge office and requested any first floor room with the exception of 1534. Thanks for the heads up! We'll definitely be on your site on the 4th. (Sorry about the email mix-up.)

Reflection,

Any of the 3rd floor rooms should be great (not much difference in the views from room to room). There should be no problem with noise from the lounge but room 3534 will still look into the corner of the Samoa building so you may want to stay away from that one. Even if you did end up in that one the view is not that bad so I would not worry. Just remember the 3rd floor is a smoking optional floor.

DKNMP,

Glad I could help. Have a great trip.

Steve
