With the remodel of Captain Cooks, will there be a newly designed refillable mug? That would be cool!

And the answer to both of your questions is..... I don't know. But I sure hope someone can answer these questions. Tikiman, wakeup! Its Monday morning, and people need answers.

They are still planning on opening at or a few day before Thanksgiving. I don't know if the mugs will look different but they the refill station will be in the same location with a slightly new look. They also told me about a great surprise new item they will have at Captain Cook's but I am not allowed to say anything. Well in a few weeks we will see the new Captain Cook's unless something goes wrong. I will add updates to the page that was posted above.

I wonder if they will bring back the Maui Wowie? It was similar to the Kitchen Sink at B&C and made with real ice cream not the soft serve that was offered in later years.

I also wonder if the name will be changed?

I hope it's set up a bit more like a food court and a lot less like a snack bar. Sometimes I think the moderates & value resorts have it better in that regard. Time is money on vacation, it's nice to get something decent(not necessarily "good") to eat without having to waste time.

I hope they do come out with a new design for the mugs - seems like they've had the current one forever! We are really looking forward to the new and improved CC's when we visit next year - and I love now being able to get Tonga Toast at CC as a quick breakfast alternative to Kona...

Not making promises, but I will have my laptop with me when we arrive this Friday the 17th at 11am. I could get online and let you guys know if anything is going on. My DH will think I've lost my mind.

I am getting more excited by the second!!!!

DH & I were just there 11/4-11/8, they were working what seemed like 24 hours a day on Captain Cooks. They were putting in the carpets our last day and the walls were all painted. That's all I could see.

If they change the mug design, I hope they also add the mugs that fit in cup holders. I make coffee every morning and take it to work with me and would love to use a mug from POLY, but the ones I have now are the fat ones. If I take a mug that I can't put in my cupholder, I'll be wearing the coffee by the time I get to the office!

That's a full week PLUS of waiting JUST to get a eye witness account? When will we know? HOW will we know? Is there a hint available? Is it obvious what the "NEW" thing is. Oh, PLEASE.......give us a hint.

Either way...........it will be interesting. I won't be there until January, but it is SOOOOOO neat to be "In the Loop". Just tell them you are only going to share it with a "FEW" friends. We won't tell.

Oh Well, hopefully Polyaddict will have her laptop and give us the scoop.
