A new DVC is expected to be constructed at the Polynesian Resort following the completion of the Grand Floridian DVC.
Initially, the rumored layout is expected to include DVC rooms to the east and west of the current rooms as well as a new pool. Additionally, DVC Grand Villas would be built along the beach on the Ticket and Transportation Center side of the resort. A diagram courtesy of TikimanPages.com can be seen as part of this rumor.
However, an update on July 25, 2013 suggests that the initial plans have been scaled back. Construction is still expected to begin this year with a goal of completion by late 2015/early 2016. The details of what is actually being constructed is now less clear.
