Polynesian booking near holidays???

We were interested in staying at the Polynesian next year for the week of Thanksgiving, so we're curious what the odds are to be able to get a studio 7 months out since it isn't our home resort? Also, someone told my husband the Poly dvc studios have 2 bathrooms - is this true? Thanks!

You get 1 full bath and a room with a sink and a shower. No dresser for storage, you need to kneel down for under the bed storage. You get a queen bed and a queen pullout, and a junior size murphy type bed. That week is difficult at most resorts.

That's what I thought. Thanks for the info.! We'll just have to hope for extra pixie dust when we try to make the reservation I guess!

DH and i are staying at the Poly in a deluxe studio Nov 26-dec 1. Booked at the 7 month mark. Our home resort is SSR. We love SSR but are looking forward to a stay at the Poly.

For 2016, the Poly studios were gone for the Tues, Wed, and Thurs nights of Thanksgiving week before 7 months out. Also, throughout October through December, when Poly studios were actually open at 7 months out (which was more often than not), they often disappeared very fast after the 7 month window opened at 8 a.m. eastern online, i.e., victory depended on how fast your computer in relation to others communicated with Disney's computer.

I had been stalking and snagged a Poly Studio for Thursday night of Wine and Dine weekend just over a week ago. I am coming in early and all that was available were 2 br at either Bay Lake or Saratoga. Keep checking, you never know what may pop up.

I waitlisted the Polynesian Mon-Wed of Thanksgiving week at 7 months. Waitlist came through Middle of July.

I booked a Poly standard view studio at the 7 month mark for the 2nd week of December. I booked right at 8:00 am at the start of the 7 month window and the available studios were booked in minutes.

Just try at your 7 month window and waitlist if not available. You might get lucky

No experience RE: booking for that time period but just wanted to say that we stayed in a Poly studio in June and found there to be more than enough storage space. In fact there's more there than at a lot of the other resorts (we have to use a folding hanging sweater shelf thing in the closets at some resorts in order to get everything put away)! Another poster made it sound like there's no room for anything but there was ample storage everywhere except the kitchenette - they really skimped on countertop space & cabinets there so we couldn't put all of our groceries away. However there are 2 large drawers under the bed (one on either side) and the area under the foot of the bed is open to store luggage or shoes or whatever. There's also a large empty storage ottoman and there's a ton of drawer & shelf space in both bathrooms and of course a hall closet. There's also nightstands on BOTH sides of the bed which is unusual for DVC rooms. Loved that. In fact, loved the Poly.

I pieced together 12 nights including Christmas and NYE - no waitlisting - weeks after the seventh month window. It took me just under a month but wasn't all that difficult.

I snagged my one missing night on the day that the entire two weeks opened up (release of new points into inventory ). It made me laugh that I could have done all 12 nights with one push of the button, after all my work. However, I actually enjoy the thrill of the hunt. And the ensuing victory!

Oh and I stuck with SV since there is more inventory. LV is incredible though!
