So I had already booked the Poly for our Fall Break 2019 trip for Sept 28 - Oct 5. Well my school decided to change the calendar and move Fall Break back a week so now we need Oct 5 - 12. However my TA is telling me it's booked solid. We have switched to WL just so we have something for our dates. My TA keeps telling me that something will probably open up at the Poly and to keep checking and she will keep checking.

How likely is it that something will open up? I have my heart set on staying there and the other monorail resorts are just two big a price difference.

Thoughts on WL? Any other resort you would recommend as an alternative to Poly? Thanks!

May be more than you want to spend, but when I search those dates I see availability for a Theme Park View room (but not the other view categories).

People change things all the time, so definitely keep checking.

FWIW, probably obvious but 10/14 is Columbus Day next year, a weekend that is a popular ‘fall break’ time for many school systems (for example, our kids have off that Thursday, Friday and Monday for a 5 day weekend).

Forgot about Columbus Day. Guess I thought it wouldn't be a big deal since it's the weekend we are leaving.

I did see the Theme Park view, but it's also Club Level which is not in our budget. Thanks for checking though!

Yes I booked our poly trip for sept 29-oct 7 back in July so 15 months out and I think I got one of the last few standard rooms because I went back a week or two later to change the dates by a couple days and the weren’t any standards left.

I tried booking the Poly for Nov 2019 in August 2018 and there were only the two most expensive categories left. So we are at the Contemporary next year.

I was in the same boat last year! I was looking for Oct 6-12 and was surprised by the lack of availability. Keep checking and I am sure different room categories will pop up. I checked daily and managed to get what I wanted.
