Please help me decide where we should stay this July. Can't decide based on location. So which one would you stay at?

It all depends... travelling with kids or without? if with, are they old or young? first time or not?

If your spending most of your time at the Magic Kingdom then I would suggest the Polynesian. If your planning more time at Epcot then it's a toss up between the Beach Club and the Boardwalk. Personally I would pick the Boardwalk.

That's a hard one--they're all on my dream list, but I'd say Beach Club for Stormalong Bay. Of course, the monorail and MK views are pretty awesome at Poly too . . . I'm no help at all.

(If you're talking about this summer, I suggest making a decision pretty soon. I plugged Poly in for a week in July, and rooms came up, but the alt offer at Beach Club only had 2 BR villas (almost $15,000. :scared1: ) . Poly only had Garden views for the dates I checked, which indicates to me it's filling up. )

We will be traveling with kids. 8, 6, & 4. We have been to Disney 7 times before. Just have never stayed at any of these resorts. And we are planning a somewhat short notice trip. We usually stay at one of the moderates. But now that I am back to work after staying home with kids, we can afford one of the deluxes. I am so excited. But just can't decide. We will be all over property, so location doesn't help me.

With kids that little I would stay in the Polynesian. You probably will spend more time at the MK than any other park. The Polynesian also has the largest rooms.

I have to agree with RoyDisney. You'll probably spend most of your time in MK. Poly makes it easy with the monorail. It's also easy to get to Chef Mickeys for breakfast or dinner, and to Epcot. (everyone will like Soarin')

I would say POLY. We are doing the same thing and I had the same indecision. We have three almost same age. Direct access to MK and EP and good dining choices. Larger rooms for 5... We are doing POLY in Oct. Sooooo excited!!!!!

I'm staying at both later this year, but we're staying at BC because my DBF plans on spending lots of time at the hotel pool, and I'm taking my mother to Poly because its my dream resort so I would personally stay there :goodvibes

The Beach Club to me is the most "neutral" of all these properties Amazing pool area and also just a short walk to the Boardwalk. Poly is great, but is also the oldest on property, and while its great to hop on the monorail to the MK, thats only one of the 4 parks. Stay at the Beach Club, say hi to Art, enjoy the pool, and if you need a taste of the monorail, take it from Epcot to the MK area one day and ask to ride in the front, maybe you'll get lucky!

Your forgetting that all the rooms at the Polynesian along with Captin Cook's Snack Co were recently renovated.

We've stayed at all those resorts and our order of preference (we have 2 kids 6 & 10) would be The Poly  BWI then the Beach Club.

As well as the MK monorail, you have direct access to the Epcot monorail too by just walking through the gardens to the TTC.

I would go with the Poly because of how many people are in your party. I've stayed at the BWI, and while I loved the resort and it does say you can put five in a room, I would never want to sleep on that daybed( even if I was four) they have set up, it's small and just not very comfertable in general. The Poly's daybed on the other hand is actually quite comfertable. The Poly rooms are also much larger. The Poly also has in my opinion just as good a proximity to Epcot as the Epcot resorts do if you walk straight the TTC. I've never stayed at the BC, so I don't know what their daybeds are like, but I know their rooms are also smaller than the Poly's.

As residents we like the YC/BC in the summer and the Polynesian in the winter. We're pool people so we'll hang out by the pool. Since we're acclimated, it aint gonna happen in the winter.

Now if you're intent on hitting the parks, go with the Polynesian. Monorail travel is the best. Relaxing and taking your time? Hit the YC/BC for the pool. None better for a resort.

As far as the people in your party, our son enjoys the daybeds in the YC/BC. He has no trouble sleeping on them. Polynesian generally has bigger rooms.

Small children in the party would indicate most of your time will be spent at the MK and not swimming and relaxing. You really can't beat the Polynesian for the convenience of travel. I think that if you want to take a world of hurt off your shoulders for you and your children when you all get tired, stay at the Polynesian.

So many good memories of both resorts. Hoping you build some good ones this trip.

Poly or Beach club with kids that age. They will the pool at beach club and MGM and Epcot are a walk or boat ride away. You can fit 5 in either room just be sure to request a daybed if you pick Beach club. It comes down to which theme you like better.

Poly!
While I love BW & BC too, I think the Poly is better for kids your age. Reasons: being right on the monorail, so close to MK, and the size of the rooms. And the pool. SAB at BC is soooooo big I can't imagine keeping track of kids that age there - and the BW slide is great but soo many steps for those little legs! And the whole BW area doesn't really come to life until evening - walking around the boardwalk during the day is really very quiet.
So my vote is for Poly - and since it was one of the first resorts - it's a WDW classic!
