Why did a bunch of availability open up for Poly? I was looking for a last minute reservation at the beginning of November and nothing was available. I just checked and Poly opened up completely for November and December (and maybe beyond-I didn’t check).

Kind of on the same topic, what is availability usually like at the 7 month mark for the studios in the longhouses? Beginning of September.

I saw this, too, and modified my Dec trip to be all Poly (was originally doing a split stay). Hope this is related to the Tower getting up and running and not a horrible glitch!

ETA I forgot the tower doesn't open for stays until mid-Dec, so scratch that theory.

What could explain something like this? Can DVD hold breakage then dump it back into the system?

Or, did a large commercial renter recently get the boot and have to cancel their reservations?

I was just super happy because I bought a plane ticket yesterday with no reservation with the hope that I could piecemeal one together! Awesome timing! I could even get a second room if I wanted. So weird!

There is some discussion on other threads about a large number of recent listing that appear to be a commercial seller unloading contracts .

Know way to know for sure…. but it’s possible.

Sounds like it might have just been a glitch? Its all gone now for nov and dec 2024, few random days showing. Wouldn't think that would be the case if it was real inventory that showed up?

The room availability (at least for studios) has slowly trickled away as people have grabbed reservations. I did a chat with MS, and they confirmed it was availability and as long as it was showing as booked and I received confirmation, I was good to go. So fingers crossed for that!

Interestingly enough I found a post for BLT where this happened a few months ago. But they're undergoing renovations, and the theory is that the BLT room release was b/c of a block of rooms getting put back into the system that had been held for the renos.

You can check www.dvcfieldguide.com for the availability tables, but longhouse studios are generally pretty available year round at 7 months apart from September and the first couple weeks of December.

September is one of the months where it is tougher, looks like an average of 3-5 nights available for standard view in a stretch for weeks 2-4 of September. Lake view is more like 5-6 nights available.

By 5 months, it is largely all gone, so you need to be quick at 7 months.
