Polynesian 4th of July

We are going to be staying at the Poly 4th of July week. Not really my choice, but the only week this year we can all go, so we decided to go ahead and do it!

Was anyone there last year who can give me an idea of what to expect? We are staying Club Level, but not theme park view. I am planning a park the morning of the 4th, but hope to watch the fireworks from the resort--I just can't handle the crowds I expect to be in Magic Kingdom that evening.

Tagging @TJA as they are frequent July 4th Poly CL visitors.

I know in the past they have roped off a portion of the beach for CL guests only for the fireworks. I believe they also serve hamburgers/hot dogs for evening apps.

I wish there were hamburgers! Only the hotdogs (and boiled.... not my favorite). Last year I doused the hotdogs with RedHot which I was surprised (and happy) to see there.

kids love hot dogs. We'll get something else for the adults I think. Thanks for the info. I've heard the resort is super-crowded, so I'm hoping we'll have room for fireworks viewing.

We are frequent Poly-stayers on the 4th of July. Expect big crowds in the CL building on both July 3 and 4, but especially on July 4. Be ready to have your MBs scanned quite frequently as they are trying to weed out anyone trying to sneak in. Even though super crowded, I think it's exciting and fun! There will be a roped off area on the beach for CL guests, so if you want to watch the show from the beach, you'll have a prime reserved area.

Yes, there is plenty of other food besides the hotdogs. From memory, there are baked beans, salad, mac & cheese, chicken wings.

I know lol. I wish they could grill them!! Actually, with the CL food changes recently at Poly, I think they're due for new 4th of July food. They've had the same for every year that I've been going...so maybe the last 5 or so years. I'm ready for a change!

Thanks for the info! So excited just to be at Poly; CL on a holiday like this is just the icing on the cake. I'm looking forward to a festive atmosphere!
