I thought I read somewhere where you can get a bottle of wine at the Poly, is this true? Also what about a six pack? Have a friend going and trying to answer some of her questions. Thanks!

Samoa Snacks has a small store and they have wine and other drinks by the can.

Upstairs there is a sstore, across from The Kona.. I purchased a bottle of White wine, around $10 (they had maybe 4 brands, 4 price ranges? maybe less..) I'm not at all sure if they sold beer there in the cooler, but its a possiblity!! I then when to pay for it, and they asked me if I wanted them to decork it, so sure, and they have a corkscrew at the cash register!

I then picked up my food from the Kona, and went back to the room!! Dh and I had a nice relaxing meal, while dd rested before the late night at MK!!

Yes they have both wine and 6 packs of beer. They also sell the Fairy Tale Cuvee, we brought a bottle home with us.

Resort sells, beer, wine and liquor. Send ya to the poor house though, buy your supplies off property, via: wegotshop.com or take a cab ride and stock up, in a weeks trip the price of a cab is justified. We have rode the bus to DTD and walked to Goodings, but its a long long walk and carring groceries and 30 packs is tough. Bus to DTD and cab from there to save money!!

Hey Tikiman, didn't the "liquor store" at the Poly used to be called Trader _____'s Grog Hut? I remember that from when I was a kid-- always seemed so grown-up and mysterious. It was fairly dark in that little store.

How much is a 6 pack of beer at the little Samoa Snacks store?

You're memory doesn't fail--it was f/k/a Grog Hut.

The store has limited selection of beverages, but as I recall it was nearly double the price of a six pack at home--around here it's about $5-$8 a six (domestic to import pricing) so you'd pay about double that at the resorts. It's a much better idea to hop to Publix on your way to the resort if you have a car or limo service.

We were there last August and a six pack was around $9 at Trader ____? Vic, Jack.... whatever the name is.

You can also buy single cans, you don't have to buy it by the six pack--just an FYI. I can't recall prices as it is more convenient for us to buy it there, wouldn't even consider wasting my time driving off property to save such a small amount of money. (now, if it was on our way in from the airport, of course, I might stop then, but not for a spur of the moment after dinner purchase). I didn't think the prices were that high anyway, but they don't stock my favorite Tanqueray Gin anyway, LOL!! I thought the wine was quite reasonable. Then again, maybe someone else's party might imbibe waaaayyy more than we do, so I guess it could add up, LOL!! So, if you are a heavy drinker, definitely go offsite! ;)
We just like to have one drink at the end of the day and sometimes when we get back to the room the concierge lounge is already down for the night. (Otherwise, we just get a drink there.)
