We will be going to WDW in September, hoping that this is a good time to go due to it being "value" season for rates and low crowds.

It will be me, my wife, and our two 8 year old boys. The Polynesian rates and Beach/Yacht Club rates are very close, so which would you prefer?

Is the weather ok in late September?

Thanks.

Both are wonderful resorts so you really can't go wrong. I would choose based on which park you think you'll be spending the most time at. If it is MK go with the Poly, If is Epcot and MGM then go with Y&BC resort.

Have FUN!!!

The Polynesian is one of our favorites:D One of the reasons I enjoy it so much is because it is a smaller resort. It has a more intimate tropical feel. I think you have a better choice in restaurants at the Polynesian. I know many people like SAB, but it's too big for me. My three kids are all 8 and under and I want to be able to keep an eye on them while in the pool.
I'm sure once our kids are older we will be spending some time at the BC:sunny:

I've never stayed at the Beach/Yacht Club, but have stayed at the Poly. We absolutely loved the Poly. We went late September 2003 and the weather was hot!

Have a great time whatever you decide.

Thanks for the great advice.

Last year we stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. My kids fell in love with the water slide at the pool. I'm not familiar with the water slides at the Poly vs. the Beach/Yacht Clubs. Is one better than the other?

Thanks.

Poly would be my first choice, however, MinnieFan4Ever is right - your park attendance will probably be a good way to choose.

We love the Poly's beautiful grounds and wonderful atmosphere. The BC/YC is great, too, the access to Epcot, MGM and the Boardwalk really makes it stand-out. Poly's monorail access to MK is a great advantage too!!

Since we live in San Diego and get to Disneyland a few times per year, we will spend the least amount of time at the Magic Kingdom, perhaps 1/2 day out of 5 days. So, it sounds like the Beach or Yacht Clubs may be the way to go.

I really appreciate the great advice!

My two favorite areas! Would it be possible to split your stay between two resorts? We've been doing that the last couple of trips and have really enjoyed it - almost like having two vacations!

The Polynesian is wonderful for it's location and theming. Stormalong Bay at the BC/YC is great - and you have the Boardwalk area and you can walk or take the ferry to EPCOT and MGM.

I would be really hard pressed to choose between the two. If we are fortunate enough to go back in November we will split our stay between the Polynesian and the Yacht Club.

Have a great time with whatever you choose!

Jill

We've stayed at the poly once and the yc three times, so I think you can guess which we prefer. Since you anticipate spending less time at MK, I would definitely go with yc or bc. It is so wonderful to be able to walk to Epcot and mgm. We find that we go to Epcot almost every day, although it might just be to catch a show in the world showcase or grab a snack.
