Poly vs BC

Wow. I can't believe how quickly you guys responded!

The kids will be 9 and 13. They are used to going non-stop at DL. The reason I added us to the wait list for BC was because since we spend so much time at the MK at DL that I thought we might be more interested in Epcot. But now people are telling us that there are a lot of subtle differences that are fun to explore.

Absolutely perfect reasoning in my opinion. Since you go to DL all the time, you will want the other 3 parks so BC is your best bet. Don't forget, the YC is the same as the BC, just different decorating. It is one big combined resort ... just different color schemes in the rooms and the lobbys. If you can't get the BC, I'd change to the YC before staying at the Poly. The CMs work at both ... it's considered one resort.

The biggest difference in my opinion between MK and DL is the size. Your feet will notice the difference between walking from Space Mountain to Splash Mountain ... you will be putting more miles on your feet at MK than you did at DL.

If you plan on focusing your trip in the MK, choose the Polynesian. If the rest of WDW is your goal, try the BC. Either way, you will not go wrong. Enjoy your vacation.

Personally we love the BC. We've stayed at the Poly and we love the resort but we just love the fact at BC you can walk to Epcot and MGM. We always go in the international gate and get desserts or snacks in England or France. The Boardwalk is also fun with the bakery, street performers etc.

OOOH, what a choice you have!

Personally, as you can see from my signature, I love the Poly....love it, love it, love it. BUT, the Beach Club is also amazing. If I ever got up the courage to sway from my Poly, the Beach Club would definitely be a contender.

I love the Poly's convenience to the monorail and, being that I have young kids, that's the main reason we go there (that and I'm obsessed with the Poly! )
