Poly...Value....Moderate....Advice being accepted

Disyady, I agree. Vacations are precious and only come once a year. I am afraid if we do not go that I will regret it. I will always say "why didn't we go there when we had the $". Staying on a monorail resort I think will add to the magic.

I will just try to save extra hard in the next 1 1/2 years. The more I have, the less I will feel guilty about spending the money on Poly. But if I have to take money out of our non-disney savings, then I will feel definitely guilty....

As far as I am concerned at this point, my destination will be Poly!!!

Thanks for all the input guys. Any other suggestions?

Also- just put all you stuff on that Disney Card- I can save big bucks that was, but I put every little thing on it. Remember you can only get $750 reward dollars per year though, and I think that is based on your membership year. When I fill up on Disney points I go to Discover and will use those cash rewards for Disney. It really can add up fast. Gas, groceries, Christmas, McDonalds, everything. I just have to be sure and pay it off every month!

If you're a member of AAA, they can save you a bunch of money. I just got a quote back from my AAA TA for next Oct., 6nts./7days, Park Hopper tix and the dining plan at the Poly for 2 adults, and it was $300 cheaper than Disney reservations. I've used them twice now, and have had great success.

Just got back from our first stay at the Poly and I really liked it! The monorail is worth it even if it wasn't a beautiful resort. We did get a great rate thru AAA! We had stayed at the Hilton DTD for our first few nights and while the buses weren't bad I can't imagine relying on them for an entire trip :sad2:

I'm starting to plan next years trip and trying to figure out if we can swing 10 nights there!

I would definately recommend trying it for a few nights!

I had also wanted to stay at the POLY for a long time and finally got a good rate in Oct 2004. I ended up being very disappointed. The service was the worst I have had at any Disney property. .
I will return to CSR, AKL, POP anytime though! We have stayed at others too. But, I really felt I got a great deal when I stayed at each of these resorts. ;)

I am definitely saving money every where I can. I do not spend any change. It all goes in my change jar. I have over $200 since August. I use my Disney Visa. Have about $150 on that in Disney dollars. And we always go through AAA. Thanks for the saving tips though. I also have an account with Creations Rewards. I have $25 in Disney money there too. I am counting on it all adding up to have an extrordinary (sp) trip. :goodvibes
